About Us
Pure Hart Studio was founded by artists McKenzie & Elliott Eddy-Smith. We are both lifelong artists — musicians, designers, lyricists, and writers.
We met in Charleston, SC in 2014 and quickly began collaborating on community projects, utilizing art and music in order to advocate for social change. We founded Headspace Murals in 2017, and have created nearly 50 large scale murals together throughout the USA.
In 2022, seeking deeper inspiration and guided by forces unseen, we moved to Woodstock, NY. This place transformed us. Here, we are inspired by nature, crystals, and invisible worlds. Our murals now line Tinker Street from end to end of this iconic town. Dubbed the "most famous small town in America,” it was easy for us to see why this place has inspired artists, deep thinkers, and political revolutionaries for generations.
Steeped in this spirit, the ethos of our work began to move from the headspace to the heartspace — and in 2025, we opened Pure Hart Studio.

WHY ARE WE CALLED PURE HART?
This is our ethos. We approach everything we do with a heart-centered intention, moving from empathy and intuition in order to find connection – even in a retail setting. The name also has a layered meaning, as “hart” is a word for a mythological deer who could pass between the spiritual and material planes. We believe that these elements – a genuine, open heart, and a deep relationship with nature – are a medicine that all of us need.
ABOUT OUR SHOP
In 2025, we decided to begin translating our large scale murals into smaller, accessible works; so we opened a boutique shop in the heart of Woodstock, NY. AKA the Dream Shop, the space feels just like that: inspiring, cozy, imaginative, and atmospheric. Here, we sell our full line of products, interacting with the many travelers who are drawn to this mythic little town, sharing stories and marking moments with a print or card that speaks to their experience.
