We are McKenzie and Elliott. We are grateful to be partners in this life. Over the last decade, we have bonded over many shared ideals while making art together; but predominantly, we hold close to the vision that making art is a radical act. The artist must live in truth. In this way, art has the power to change minds, open portals, and move mountains. 

We met in Charleston, SC in 2014 and quickly began collaborating on community projects, utilizing art and music in order to advocate for social change. We founded Headspace Murals in 2017, and have created over 40 large scale murals together throughout the USA.

In 2022, seeking deeper inspiration and guided by forces unseen, we moved to Woodstock, NY. This place transformed us. Here, we are inspired by nature, crystals, and invisible worlds. Our murals now line Tinker Street from end to end of this iconic town. Dubbed the "most famous small town in America,” it was easy for us to see why this place has inspired artists, deep thinkers, and political revolutionaries for generations.

Steeped in this spirit, the ethos of our work began to move from the headspace to the heartspace – and the vision for Pure Hart Artwork + Apparel was born in January 2025. 

We hope you wear it and display it knowing we conjured it up not only to promote peace, but to inspire like-minded individuals to seek truth and fight for what they believe in – to live boldly as their authentic selves in a world where being kind and vulnerable isn't easy.

There are messages written on the sleeves of our hoodies, meant to embolden the wearer. These are messages from us to you, during a time when being different is more scary and radical than ever. These messages are meant to remind you that you are not alone. 

The images on our prints and cards come from awakenings and spiritual visions. We hope that they allow you to send love and encouragement to friends and chosen family, or that you’ll hang them on your wall as you seek to imagine a new world – one where the material good of the collective takes priority over the enrichment of the few, and the spiritual welfare and lived experience of each of us is sacred.

We know at the end of the day, our work is just beginning. If we are going to find true success, as we define it, then we need to start by supporting those who are most vulnerable in our community. That’s why we donate a portion of our profits to organizations or collectives committed to supporting marginalized communities. We select a new org to donate to every quarter.
